I utilize an outcome based multidisciplinary approach. I treat many medically referred patients and emphasize the strengths of each discipline's more effective modalities in this system. This being the case, accuracy in diagnosis and specificity in treatment of an individual 's structural problem is realized. Chiropractic manipulation is a modality that works immediately if it is the 'tool' that is going to be efficacious in rendering therapeutic effect. If the patient is not responding as anticipated I look to other disciplines' tools to bring the patient to resolve in an efficient manner. I also support the literature in that functional rehabilitation is an integral part of treatment protocol. Active, functional exercise specific to the spine in our MedX rehab gym has proven invaluable in rendering long term resolve for my patients. Home exercise and stretching programs are prescribed as part of care and patients come to feel they play an interactive and important part in bringing resolve to their individual concern(s).
